International awards for the Musée d'arts de Nantes
The Musée d'arts de Nantes has won several international awards: two American Architecture Prize awards, one in the 'Architectural Design / Restoration & Renovation' category and the other in the 'Interior Design / Exhibition' category, a Blueprint Magazine award in the 'Public-Use Project with Public Funding' category, and the prestigious Apollo Award in the 'Museum Opening of the Year' category.
RFR is proud to have participated in this prestigious project alongside British architectural design practice Stanton Williams. Our teams contributed to all the concrete and steel framework structures, the thermal and airtight envelope (glazed façades, opaque steel cladding, and slate, zinc and glazed roofs), a number of special glazed structures (panoramic lifts and suspended stone façade), and the restoration of the historic building's stone façades.
The American Architecture Prize (AAP) recognises each year's most innovative, creative and inspiring architectural projects from all over the globe. This year's winners were selected from among more than a thousand entries from 68 countries.
Now in their third year, the Blueprint Awards are given to architecture and design projects in nine categories.
The Apollo Award, handed out by the eponymous international magazine, has been celebrating major achievements in the art and museum worlds since 1992.
