Description
The 162 m-tall tower formerly known as the 'Tour AXA', in the La Défense business district of Paris, became the tallest high-rise building in France following a project to increase its height in addition to completely renovating its façades. The tower, in the shape of a star with three points of differing heights, now has a total height of 231 m including the spire. The tower and the podium - the group of buildings lying at its base - were completely stripped and the new envelope was studied and developed to address the key concerns of energy management and thermal comfort.
